I don’t know from where should I start writing about Genelia . I liked her role in one of the movies and then what happened next is like history. I got mad for her . Yes! You can use the term ‘m😆d’ for it. I started liking her in every role She did there after. Also watching her old movies again and again would make me happy. I never use to change channels when She was on my television even during commercials. Just her presence would make me feel good.
Genelia entered into Bollywood and Tollywood in the same year i.e 2003. I actually noticed her directly in Jaane Tu ya jaane na which was a superhit! During the phase from 'Tuhje Meri Kasam' to Jaane Tu She was active in south industry more which I wasn’t aware of. Then it was after 'Jaane Tu.. ' that She become popular in Hindi industry and started getting more movies in this industry. The movie which influenced me the most was none other than Bommarillu. She was too good in the movie. I saw the movie years after its release but nontheless it didn't had any less effect on me. The movie completely revolved around her and Siddharth did a terrific job by giving her a good support. She was cute, bubbly, spontaneous and adorable in the movie. The movie, no wonder, was a super duper hit! I personally think that this movie was a turning point in Genelia’s career. Such kind of roles then became her trademark roles. She was the best option to portray a happy- go-lucky girl, She succeeded in that. I liked Bommarillu too much and with that Genelia too. I started recommending all my friends to watch Bommarillu and soon everybody came to know that I am her big fan.
I used to keep updates of her every small thing. It later became a trend in my friend circle that they use to ask me to confirm any news about Genelia . I was there ‘Genie-meter’. Then I was too eager to see Genelia in real. I stay in Pune and Genelia stayed in Mumbai. I was looking for an opportunity that Genelia should visit my city.
At that time Genelia had just married to Riteish. They were promoting their movie Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya I was waiting that they’ll come in Pune for promotions but I was unlucky at that time. They didn't come up in Pune. Felt sad for that. The next time I thought I had a chance to meet Genelia was when I saw a poster of a blood donation camp in which it was written that Genelia is going to attend it just to encourage blood donation. I was eager to go there. I went at that place but She didn’t arrive for 2 hours. Saw Karishma Kapoor in that process. Finally asked the security guard over there whether Genelia is coming or not. They said they don’t know about it. Waited for still an hour or so there, but She still didn’t came. Finally returned home with a sad feeling.
The third and the final chance which I got was during the CCL match. I still remember that day quite clearly. I bought the ticket as soon as I came to know

that one of the match of Veer Marathi is in Pune. Forced some of my friends to join me as a support in the match. I was so excited for the day of the match to arrive. Bought new markers and chart paper specially to write a message for Genelia Reached stadium 4-5 hours before the match. Finally Genelia arrived in the stadium, I cheered to the top of my voice. Couldn’t see her from very close but my attention was in the dug out continuously where She was cheering for Veer Marathi. I was reacting according to her reactions and not according to the match. Whenever her face was shown on the big stadium screen, I screamed to the top of my voice. Till the match was half over, everybody in the stand knew that how big fan of Genelia I am. Veer Marathi won and Genelia came running in the stadium to greet the players. She was so excited. At the end of match, the team along with Genelia took a round along the stadium. That was the closest I could see her. That experience gave me Goosebumps. Even now , when I think of that day I still feel the same. It was such an electrifying experience.
After a certain time period, even my family came to know that I am crazy for Genelia . I never told them directly about it but you know how fast family members can turn out to be. They came to knew about my craziness soon. Whenever I seemed happy, my sister used to ask me “Why are you so happy today? Did Genelia replied to you..?” They knew that I’ll be most happy if She replies to me once. Genelia was quite active on twitter at the time I joined twitter but later slowly-slowly She became less active. Ofcourse, She had her own personal reasons for it. So I never expected a reply from her then. I used to convey what I felt for her through tweets with a belief that She is reading whatever I tweet. I can understand that She has got so many followers and fans all around the world that it would be impossible for her to reply for every tweets She gets.
She had promised in one of the events that She’ll take a chat session soon for her fans. I was waiting desperately for that to happen and what better date can She get than 5th August. Yes, it was her birthday and on that day She spared time for her fans and arranged a chat session. As Genelia doesn’t regularly arrange such sessions there were so many of them waiting to get a reply from her . Luckily, the second question She answered in her that chat session was that of mine. I was more than happy. She gave us a return gift on her birthday. On 5th August 2013 I got my first ever reply from Genelia.
Genelia is one of the reasons that i joined Twitter. It was because of the Twitter that I came to know that there are so many of them who like Genelia and so many of them who love her no matter what. Thank you. Genelia for all the wonderful memories you have given to me. I have always supported Genelia in all her decisions and would continue doing that. No demands, no expectations!! :-)
